Sunrise in Daytona Florida

This picture was shot in... You guessed it Daytona, Florida. The beach is a funny place. It is where people go to relax by burning of the top layer of their skin with ultra violet radiation.

I think the early morning on the beach was my favorite time. The temperature was nice, and there were few people out.

As for photography if you shoot enough sunrises and sunsets you will catch a good one. There are a lot of tricks for getting the best shot and color possible. HDR looks good, but you can't have any motion in the picture because it is actually multiple pictures merged and you need a software package that can merge it for you. With long exposure single shot photography you can miss some of the color, and short exposure you get shadows. Just keep playing with it until the sun is to high or set. The experimentation is half the fun of photography.

In The Begining

In the beginning, when the earth was new,
birds had no feet but only flew.
When they crashed upon their nose,
Mother Nature gave them toes.
Then they dined standing on the beach,
catching all the fish within their reach.
And when they fought for fish to eat,
Mother Nature stretched their feet.
"Nobody here can fall asleep!
So, you long-legged birds, fish in the deep.
Short-legged birds, fish near the shore,
And stop that fighting! You hear? No more!"

This picture of South Daytona shows a few of the things that make America great. Here we see a beautiful land that has been harnesses by innovation and hard work. In this picture you can see the American flag flying proudly as heroes drive past in their red truck. Another detail that I love about this picture is the garage door of the house front and center. Each side is covered with the American flag. There is no other universal symbol of freedom that can bring hope to the hearts of people everywhere. God bless America.
